Who we share your data with

At The Monogram Shop, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. Our users trust us with their personal information like names, email addresses, and purchase history, and we take this responsibility seriously. Here’s how we handle your data:

  1. Limited Third-Party Sharing: Your personal information, such as name, email address, and purchase history, is primarily used for the purpose of providing and improving our services to you. We do not share, sell, or disclose your personal data to third parties for their marketing or advertising purposes. Third-party access to your data is strictly limited to entities that provide essential services for our website operation (like hosting or security) and are bound by confidentiality agreements.

  2. Legal Compliance: We may disclose your personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

  3. Internal Use for Service Improvement: We may use your data internally to improve our services and user experience. This includes, but is not limited to, using data to improve our graphics design editor, customize user experience, or manage your account.

Our website is HTTPS secured, ensuring that the data exchanged between your browser and our site is encrypted and transmitted securely. This is part of our commitment to protecting your information online. Additionally, our security measures include regularly updating our WordPress platform and its associated plugins to utilize the latest security features and enhancements. While we make every effort to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, it is important to remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

  1. Data Access: If you have an account on our site or have interacted with us through comments or other means, you have the right to request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. This includes data you’ve provided to us directly, such as account information, as well as any interactions you’ve had with our site, like comments on product pages.

  2. Data Erasure: You also have the right to request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. We will comply with your request, ensuring that all your data, including comments and account information, is completely removed from our systems. • Administrative and Security Needs: Some data may be retained for specific administrative purposes or to ensure the security and integrity of our platform.
  3. Additional Information: Our commitment to your data rights is part of our broader privacy practices. We strive to ensure transparency and control over your personal information. For any questions or additional information regarding how we handle user data, feel free to reach out to us.
